Black British Book Festival

The Black British Book Festival (BBBF) returns this October to the Barbican, spotlighting the voices and narratives of Black British authors and creators. This one-day festival brings a mix of panels, book launches, workshops, and a marketplace of publications. It is a cultural signal: literature as locus of identity, community, introspection and future. In a month heavy with visual culture, BBBF reminds us that the shape of stories is as significant as the images. Whether you attend a talk or browse for new works, it’s a moment to recalibrate what’s visible and what’s evolving in London’s literary conversation.
